#TrackingIan | Schools will continue online classes tomorrow: Ministry of Education | New

The Department for Education and Youth advises that based on the latest update from the Met Office, schools should remain in remote/online modalities and only have face-to-face lessons when conditions are safe.

According to the Met Office, “unstable weather is expected to remain on the island” and “showers and thunderstorms will continue in the parishes until Tuesday afternoon”.

In a press release just now, the ministry said, as previously advised, “school boards and principals should continue to exercise caution in determining school operations for Tuesday, 27 September 2022”. Bulletin-133/2022, titled ‘Severe Weather Alert’, provides additional guidance for our schools”.

“Again, we ask school administrators to continue [to] use their communication channels to inform parents, students and staff to provide updates on school operations based on their local situation. All staff and parents should exercise good judgment, paying particular attention to personal care and safety at all times,” the Department for Education said.
